Introduction

Mariages.io (hereinafter "the Platform") is a digital platform enabling couples planning their wedding to connect with wedding professionals (venues, photographers, caterers, DJs, decorators, etc.). The Platform is operated by MARIAGESDOTIO SARL. As part of operating the Platform, we collect and process personal data from our users. This privacy policy is intended to inform you of the methods of collection, processing, and protection of your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU Regulation 2016/679) and Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

Personal Data Protection

In accordance with the provisions of Moroccan Law 09-08 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Mariages.io undertakes to ensure the protection of the personal data of its users.

This privacy policy aims to inform users of the Platform about the methods of collection, processing, and protection of their personal data.

Sub-processors

In the course of its activities, Mariages.io uses trusted sub-processors to provide certain services. These sub-processors may have access to your personal data solely within the framework of the missions entrusted to them. Here is the list of our main sub-processors:

• MongoDB Atlas – Database
• Stripe – Payment processing
• Firebase (Google) – Authentication, notifications, analytics
• Cloudinary – Image and video management
• Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) – Transactional and marketing emails
• Expo – Mobile push notifications
• OpenAI – AI-powered features (wedding assistant)
• Sentry – Error monitoring and tracking

Each sub-processor is contractually bound to comply with the applicable data protection regulations and to implement appropriate security measures.

Users are informed that these sub-processors may be located outside of Morocco. In such cases, data transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other mechanisms provided by applicable regulations).

Mariages.io ensures that each sub-processor provides sufficient guarantees regarding the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures so that the processing meets the requirements of applicable regulations and ensures the protection of the rights of data subjects.

Categories of Data Collected

Mariages.io collects and processes the following categories of personal data:

When you register via a social network (Google, Facebook, Apple), we receive certain information from your public profile (name, email address, profile photo) in accordance with the permissions you have granted.

Consumer users (brides/grooms/guests):

• Identification data: First name, last name, photo, identity document, Social Network User (first and last name, in case of access or interaction through a Social Network).
• Contact data: Phone, email, home address, Social Network User (email, in case of access or interaction through a Social Network).
• Personal data: Gender, Last name, First name.
• Financial data: Banking details (where applicable).

Professional users:

• Identification data: First name, last name.
• Corporate contact details: Phone, email, home address.
• Commercial data: Business activity. Data included in the personal profile/listing.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the social networks you use to understand what data they share.

Mandatory and Optional Nature of Information

Certain information is mandatory for the creation and management of your account (last name, first name, email, phone number). Failure to provide this information prevents the creation of your account.

Other information is optional and is used to improve your experience on the Platform (preferences, wedding details, profile photo).

Mandatory fields are clearly indicated in the registration forms and throughout the use of the Platform.

Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

• Creation, management, and security of user accounts
• Connecting couples with wedding professionals
• Management of quotes, invoices, contracts, and payments
• Secure payment processing via Stripe
• In-app messaging between couples and professionals
• Sending notifications (push, email, SMS) related to the Service
• Service improvement and usage analytics
• Compliance with applicable legal obligations
• Prevention of fraud and platform security

Each processing operation is carried out on the basis of one of the legal grounds provided for by the GDPR: consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interest, or legal obligation.

Your data may also be used for:

• Statistical studies and analysis (anonymized data)
• Improvement and personalization of the Service

When processing is based on legitimate interest, Mariages.io ensures that this interest does not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Additional data collection (beyond what is listed above) may occur in specific situations and will be subject to prior information.

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or from your account settings.

At the end of the commercial relationship, your data may be retained for prospecting purposes for a period not exceeding 3 years, unless you object.

Data Recipients

Your personal data may be communicated to the following categories of recipients: internal departments of Mariages.io authorized to process the data, wedding professionals registered on the Platform (in connection with your requests), technical sub-processors (see Section Sub-processors), competent authorities when required by law.

Mariages.io never sells your personal data to third parties.

Data Security

Mariages.io implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal data: encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption of sensitive data at rest, restricted access based on need-to-know, regular security audits, monitoring and intrusion detection systems, automatic and regular backups. In the event of a data breach likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, Mariages.io undertakes to notify the competent supervisory authority and the affected individuals within the timeframes provided by applicable regulations.

Your Rights

In accordance with the GDPR and Moroccan Law 09-08, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: you may obtain confirmation as to whether your personal data is being processed and, where that is the case, access to such data.
• Right to rectification: you may request the correction of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: you may request the deletion of your personal data under certain conditions.
• Right to restriction of processing: you may request the restriction of processing of your data under certain conditions.
• Right to object: you may object to the processing of your data at any time for reasons relating to your particular situation.
• Right to data portability: you may receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
